Fury makes AJ & Hearn wait on Latest Wilder Offer

Shelly Finkel delays response : Hearn sent something but I have a mega fight on 1st December!

Anthony Joshua’s Promoter Eddie Hearn makes fresh offer for an April Super-Fight at Wembley on April 13th 2019

Deontay Wilder steps into the ring against Tyson Fury on December 1st for the WBC Boxing Heavyweight Title Showdown in Los Angeles

  • Deal believed to be an offer in excess of £15.5m or $20m.
  • Matchroom Sport chairman Barry Hearn tried talks with Shelly Finkel.
  • Double re-match payday on the table!

Father of AJ’s promoter Matchroom Sport chairman Barry Hearn took to social media and confirmed a significant improved offer had been sent to the American’s.

“Real Offer”

Tweet : So now a new improved offer has been made to Wilders camp let’s see if they will finally agree to a meeting to discuss or not.
Fans will find out if both sides really want this fight and I know AJ does. No obstacles from our end so just waiting for a response.

Eddie on the situation :

“Wilder’s co-manager Shelly Finkel is hard work. This time it is a percentage with a guarantee as well, hopefully we can finally arrange a meeting and get talking.”

However, negotiations look to be going nowhere in the last few days. Barry took to twitter to reveal –

Tweet : So meeting refused by Wilders team Unbelievable. No more comments from me as if you have a brain the position is clear. Eddies interview on IFL sums the situation up perfectly. Watch it and understand the truth.

Now it seems that ‘Fast Car’ Eddie is looking to speak to others (i.e Al Haymon) to try and get something moving to get Deontay Wilder here for the AJ Wembley Fight date of April 13th 2019.

Tyson Fury has jumped the queue and fights Deontay Wilder next in LA for the WBC belt that Joshua is after.

There is a good sign though. With all the goings on, WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman supports the fight to happen sooner rather than later –

“It is a huge fight the world wants to see and a fight the WBC has just ruled to support. During our convention, a ruling of the mandatory status included the provision of trying to make the winner of Wilder vs Fury against Joshua.

“I’m not certain about any contract. That’s a private agreement.

“But the WBC is of course the one that orders the fights, so our position is that we want to see the ultimate heavyweight fight, which involves Anthony Joshua and involves the WBC champion.”
