JARRELL MILLER taunts Anthony Joshua : I would ‘Toast that English Muffin’
Unbeaten Heavyweight Miller calls out AJ after beating tough Johann Duhaupas at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn promoted by Matchroom Boxing and Eddie Hearn.
Miller is hoping for the big payday and World Title Shot against Anthony Joshua having been told by promoter Eddie Hearn that a chance to face Joshua as early as the summer.
Victory over Johann Duhaupas moved the fight a step closer and the loud Americian wasted zero time hyping up his name to fight AJ :
“I’m ready to toast that English muffin. We cooked French fries tonight so it’s English muffins next time.
“It’s like I said before, Eddie Hearn has made promises and comments to other fights but let’s get this straight, I’m not signed with Matchroom boxing and Eddie Hearn.
“I am my own boss, I have Big Baby Promotions, but it was decided that it would be in my best interests to fight on an Eddie Hearn card to build my profile.
“Of course we want the AJ fight. Eddie Hearn has been talking a lot that AJ is going to come to Brooklyn, do this and do that.
“I’m not going to get on my knees and beg, us New Yorkers work hard to earn our shot.
“But if you bring him to New York I will bust his behind. If not, we have Manuel Charr in Germany and we could probably make that happen.
“So that’s my next best option if Eddie doesn’t put his money where his mouth is and make it happen.
“He’s not going to sell me the dream like he did with Luis Ortiz and Dillian Whyte and all the others guys.”
Miller weighed in at a huge 304 pounds for his fight but many fans think AJ would be far superior especially if ‘Big Baby’ was to stay at that size.
Promoter Eddie Hearn speaking about the potential of a fight between the two said :
“If we can’t get Wilder, Miller is definitely an option.
“You’ve got Miller, Alexander Povetkin and Wilder there. We will have to see.
“But if Anthony is going to come to America [to fight] and it’s not against Wilder, we want to come to the Barclays Center and the guy to do it against is Jarrell Miller.
“We’ll see over the next few weeks. The WBA have called a mandatory but we could ask for an exception to fight Miller.”
