Wembley Heavyweight Title Win for AJ vs Klitschko
Both fighters knocked down. Brit 11th round victory.
90,000 fans watched what was a great night of championship boxing from London, England.
Joshua unloaded in the fifth sending ‘Dr Steelhammer’ to the canvas, however with his tank on empty WK turned the round on its head and caught the British fighter with several telling shots, leaving Joshua clinging on and gasping for air.
This carried on into the sixth with a straight right down the middle which saw Joshua knocked down for the first time in his professional career.
Back to his feet AJ managed to survive the round and the fight then slowed to a pace which suited both fighters as they recovered with the scorecards split if not slightly ahead for the 41 year-old Ukranian.
Time running out for the 6′ 6″ Watford fighter and needing something in the late rounds Joshua delivered a massive uppercut that rocked Wladimar and was sent to the canvas with twice in the round with another well timed left hook.
Klitschko showed immense heart but another wave a huge punches signalled the referee David Fields to stop the fight in round 11.

WK said after his defeat :
“It was really sad I didn’t make it tonight. I was planning to do it. It didn’t work. But all respect to Anthony.”
AJ spoke to the crowd from the ring :
“Boxing is about character, as I said from the get go, it will be a boxing
classic, find what you believe in and give it a go.”
Klitschko has since announced his retirement from the sport of boxing.
